Kenya and The Samburu Project

I had always dreamed of going to Africa, but wanted to go with an organization that was making a difference in people's lives. In 2015 I found The Samburu Project, a non-profit that drills wells in Samburu, the arid region north of Nairobi in Kenya. Each well serves 1,000 villagers and changes the lives of the women and children who would spend hours searching for and carrying water back to their villages if wells were not nearby. In 2016 I traveled to Samburu to document village life and the well communities.
